Parking Freeze

Ha! Apparently the company that has taken over the parking meters in Chicago weren’t quite prepared for the weather because many of the meter kiosks froze overnight.
Haha! Totally called it. I wonder if you still can get a ticket? Yes, you can still get a ticket. See below on how to contest it.

On the Guardian’s list of places to visit before they disappear: Chicago. Because global warming could make it, like, hot. Wait a second. Aren’t people deterred from visiting Chicago because it’s, uh, cold?
Given that it’s like 13 degrees here today, yeah, I’d say a number of us would be in favor of warmer weather. What say the rest of you?

If you work in the Loop, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t be here with me soon, drinking in a seasonal pub in the damn Daly Center. How many times have people built you a German pub stocked with real Germans next to your office? Some imported Bischoffs and Glühwein - we are talking Hot. Spiced. Wine. here, people. Overall, I am glad they have replaced the coin parking meters with the automated ones. I never had enough quarters in my car, and especially as rates have increased, plunking eight quarters down with frequency just wasn’t very feasible.
